Maddy Campbell, CPT.
Highly motivated, passionate, and influential, Maddy Campbell is an avid Personal Trainer, delivering intense body changing workouts in a safe outdoors environment that complies with social distancing regulations. With COVID-19 still being at the forefront of people’s minds, Maddy innovatively transformed her backyard to become an ideal location for people to fulfill their fitness aspirations without the fear of being in a closed gym post-pandemic. She was able to move indoors before the cold Chicago winter hit and now trains out of her private studio.
Maddy has been a NASM certified trainer for over three years, providing her services in the Chicago area. As an ardent powerlifter as well, you can expect barbell implementation into the sessions to really cultivate strength and feel powerful.
It is not about striving for the perfect body or trying to reach a certain weight. It is about aiming to be as fit, strong, and healthy as you can be, and being proud of your progress along the way. With Maddy on your side, you can expect to have someone who will push you out of your comfort zone and give you the foundation to reach your full potential so you can achieve your fitness goals.
As a final note, be prepared to end your sessions with some puppy playtime! Maddy’s dog Benji loves people, and there is really no better way to end your workout than with some adorable, boisterous, puppy fun. (Puppy time is optional)
What People Are Saying
“As a nurse working in the Covid ICU I felt very comfortable with Maddy’s outdoor gym set up as it mirrors many of the precautions we take in the hospital to keep ourselves safe. With the use of masks, an outdoor setting, 6 feet distancing, and sterilization before and after client use, I feel confident I can get a workout in without increasing my risk of contracting the virus.”
— Ashley M.
“Everything is very clean, and I love that there are no crowds of people that I have to avoid (or share equipment with.) Maddy helped me ease back in to lifting without injuring myself after weeks off. I’m getting stronger, and my weekly training appointments with Maddy have added some structure and motivation back to my life!”
— Christina D.
“Since [Maddy"] started Uplift, I have been able to rekindle my workouts in a fun, and clean, socially distant environment. Her back yard is completely set up for a variety of workouts, and as always, Maddy keeps her workouts fresh, helps me listen to my body, and challenges me to learn the best way to achieve my goals. ”
— Joelitta A.
“Maddy has created a welcoming space and strikes the perfect balance of meeting you where you are and pushing you to achieve your fitness goals. Uplift Strength and Wellness is an excellent alternative to indoor gyms with recirculated air and groups of strangers. Stay safe, wear a mask, and if you're going to exercise, do it outside!”

What Makes Uplift Different?
Judgement-Free
No one should miss out on the amazing feeling of being physically strong because they don’t feel they are “fit” enough. I recognize that each and every athlete is different when it comes to their mental and physical needs and I actively strive to embrace those differences to create a comfortable environment.
Accessible
Clients can easily sign up for their sessions and pay online for a seamless, cash-free experience.
Educational
My mission is to teach as many people as possible how to master their body through training and eduction. Many coaches and trainers will provide you a workout and have you simply “plug and chug”; I will explain how each exercise we do will help you reach your goals so you will always feel in control.
Safety
With Coronavirus cases steadily climbing in the U.S., people are looking for a safe space to workout without fear of getting sick. Prior to each session, every piece of equipment is cleaned and there is a 30 minute buffer between sessions to ensure clients do not come in contact with each other.
Partnership
Motivation is hard to find, and just because you found it, doesn’t mean it’ll stick around. For some, outside sources of motivation can be extremely beneficial. Having someone who knows what your goals are and actually wants you to be successful and happy can be a huge source of motivation.
Fun!
Sessions include weight-lifting, dance breaks, sing-alongs, puns, and (if you want) a furry friend to play with once our work is done.
